Disneyland vs Disneyworld
Disneyland and Disneyworld are two theme parks run by the Walt Disney Company. Even though both theme parks are owned by Walt Disney Company both have similarity and differences.  The theme parks are both located in different states. Disneyland is located in California and Walt Disneyworld is located in Florida. Walt Disney came up with the concept of Disneyland after visiting various amusement parks with his daughters in the 1930’s and 1940’s.  When comparing the two theme parks Disneyland is smaller in comparison of size to Disneyworld. The cost of food is much more costly in Disneyland than it is in Disneyworld. Disneyland and Disneyworld do have some similarities such as both theme parks have Disney Characters which are the same characters in both parks, for example, there is Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Daffy Duck just to name a few. The temperature in both theme parks differ because they are both located in different states. The weather in Disneyland is generally mild. The temperature in Florida is Hot.

Disney Land was opened on July 17, 1995 Disney Land is the first of the two theme parks and was built on the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California.  Disneyland was the only theme park built directly under the supervision of Walt Disney. Disneyworld was designed to supplement Disneyland in Anaheim, California which had opened in 1955, the complex was developed by Walt Disney in the 1960s, though he died in 1966 before construction on “The Florida Project” began. Disneyland consists of various theme parks such as Adventure land, New Orleans Square, Frontier land, Critter Country, Fantasyland, Mickey’s Toontown, Tomorrow land, and Main Street USA.

Disneyworld opened on October 7, 1971 and is the most visited vacation resort in the World.  It is owned and operated by Walt Disney Parks.  Disneyworld is located in downtown Orlando Florida.  The property covers 27,258 acres, which it houses 27 themed resort hotels, four theme parks, two water parks, four golf courses, one camping resort, one residential area. Magic Kingdom was the first and original theme park to open the complex followed by Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom which opened later throughout the 1980s and 1990s.  At Disneyworld there are miles of green space lakes boats and a large monorail system.
